Adding Images to Items

Want to add images to your products? Follow this tutorial.

Adding an Image to Already-Existing Product

To add an image to a product that already exists in Artisan, click on “Items.”

There are many different methods to find the product you’re looking for. If you know the item code, type it in the search bar. If you want to search with a different method, click on “Start New Search.”

Choose from any of the following search methods.

Or, use the “Power Search.” This is an even more advanced search method, letting you filter items from keyword, category, price range, and more.

Once you have your item selected, press F4 on your keyboard or press “Edit This Record.”

This opens the “Item Record” panel. Click on the “Pictures and Menus” tab.

If you want the image(s) you’re uploading to show up on your Quick-Pick menu, select “yes.” If not, select “no.”

The “Menu Order” controls where the item displays in the Quick-Pick menu. 80” is the default menu order. Artisan sorts all records with the menu order at “80” and alphabetizes them. If you want the item to be the first record shown (to the left of the list), input “1.” If you want the record to be toward the bottom of the list, enter “99.”

The “Menu Color” changes the product background in the Quick-Pick menu. This example uses “Jungle Green” as its menu color.

To upload an image to the product, click on “Import.” Locate the image file on your computer and click “Open.”

Now the “Full-Size Image” is imported. Repeat the importing process for the “Thumbnail Image” and “Additional Image” sections if you so desire.

Press “save” once you’re done.

Adding an Image to a New Product

To add a new product to your item records, press F3 on your keyboard or click on the “Add A New Record” button.

Fill in the item description, category, manufacturer, and other relevant fields. Once you’re finished, head to the “Pictures and Menus” tab and follow the above steps.
