Artisan 4.x Minimum Requirements

The new Artisan 4.x or later Version has certain hardware requirements that we recommend in order to run the application smoothly. You may already have a computer that will run this new version just fine; however, if you are buying a new computer this is what we recommend.

These are minimum specifications for the MAIN Server at your location, of course, you could have more than recommended.  We will include a “lighter” version for regular registers.

  •  RAM (Memory):

At least 16 GB RAM, 32GB RAM is preferred (Most servers need this amount of RAM to operate smoothly in today’s high-tech environment)

  • Processor:

 At least 2.2 GHz (or better) quad-core with Hyper-threading (We recommend the Intel i7 processor category)

  • Operating System:

Windows: Windows 10 – Professional or Ultimate Edition –  64-Bit architecture. {We do not support Windows XP or Windows 7 (as it is soon to be removed from Windows updates}

Mac: Mac OS X 10.9, 10.10 (Mavericks,Yosemite) or later. (Only Artisan 4.0 or later runs on a Mac)

  • Hard Drive Storage:

We recommend a RAID storage system with dual 500GB (or bigger) Solid State hard drives.

These are minimum specifications for the regular registers (or inventory tablets) at your location, of course, you could have more than recommended.

  •  RAM (Memory):

At least 8 GB RAM (Most new computers come with this much RAM)

  • Processor:

 At least 2.2 GHz dual-core or Hyper-threaded {We recommend the Intel i5 processor (or better)}

  • Operating System:

Windows: Windows 10 – Professional or Ultimate Edition –  64-Bit architecture.

Mac: Mac OS X 10.9, 10.10 (Mavericks,Yosemite) or later. (Only Artisan 4.0 or later runs on a Mac)

  • Hard Drive Storage:

We recommend a 500 GB (or bigger) Solid State hard drive.

NOTE: Artisan 4.x or later may run fine on any other computer that does not meet the minimum requirements we recommend above; however, we do not guarantee this will not cause any issues nor will we take any responsibility for hardware failure, compatibility issues, and/or slowness of the system.
