Configuring Tool Bar Buttons

Artisan has a toolbar section, below the menu bar, with quick shortcuts for common operations. You can customize this toolbar to better suit your needs. These settings apply to each station individually.

Watch this video or read the instructions below to learn more about configuring the tool bar buttons.

Removing Individual Buttons

If there are any buttons in your toolbar that you don’t want to use, you can remove them. To do so, click on “View” at the top of the program screen. Hover over “Tool Bar Buttons.”

Note: Every item with a check mark (for example, “Price Check”), indicates that this button is currently included in your toolbar.

To remove individual buttons from your toolbar, click on the button’s name in the drop-down list. In this example, notice how the “Price Check” icon vanishes from the toolbar once this action is performed

Removing All Buttons

To remove all buttons from your toolbar, navigate to “View” and select “Remove All.” This will hide all buttons in your toolbar and hide the toolbar section altogether, allowing for additional workspace within the Artisan screen.

Restoring Buttons

Want to restore any buttons you deleted? Click on “View,” “Tool Bar Buttons,” and “Restore Defaults.” This will repopulate your toolbar with the default buttons in the order they appear when you first installed the program.

Adding Custom Buttons

The ability to add additional shortcut buttons to the toolbar is anticipated in a future version of Artisan POS.
