DC Direct (pictures shown for Lane 5000 and Lane 3000)

DC Direct requires Internet access – Ethernet only. It will NOT work with a USB connection. You will need to expand your network to allow for DC Direct, such as with a network switch (LAN).

This document contains instructions that are suitable for the Tetra Series Lane 3000, Lane 5000, Lane 7000, and Move 5000. The device pictures shown are of the Lane 5000 for general setup, while the Lane 3000 is shown for finding an IP address (to be used as a last resort).

*IMPORTANT* Do NOT connect the device to a power source while you are plugging it in. Some models, like the Lane 5000, take a few moments to connect to as they plug in at an angle. Once the device is plugged in, you can connect the other end to the power source.

Device Instructions

Once plugged into a power source, the device will power on. It will display a few loading screens.

1. Select the “F” key to access “Admin Mode,” and tap on the screen to enter that mode. If prompted, type the admin password “123456A” and press the “Enter (Green)” key. Depending on your device, you might need to cycle through to capital “A” by pressing the “2” key a few times.

2. Select “Tetra Admin.” If your device is not touch screen, you’ll have to use the up and down arrows.

3. Select “Download Application.”

4. Select “Configure Download.”

5. Select “TMS Address.”

6. If you’re using a touchscreen device, touch the icon.

7. DO NOT PAUSE DURING THIS SECTION. Doing so will cause the device to time you out and you will have to renter your TMS Address. Enter the following: temterminalsnar02.icloud.ingenico.com and press the “Enter (Green)” key. Note: The best way to enter a period is by pressing the period button on the keypad.

8. Select “TCP Port” (scroll down under “TMS address“).

9. Delete the number already in the field. If you have a touchscreen device, like the Lane 5000, you’ll need to touch the icon shown in the picture. Delete the number that’s already there and type in 7002.

10. Press the red cancel key once.

11. Select “2-Start Download.”

12. Press the “Enter (Green)” key on the “Enter Package Name” screen. You do not need to enter a value.

Set Date and Time

1. From the idle screen, press the “F” key. If you’re using a Lane 3000, you will need to double-press the “F” button.

2. Press “Admin Mode” on the screen.

3. If prompted, enter the admin password (123456A), then press the green “Enter” key.

4. Select “Tetra Admin.”

5. Select “Set Date and Time.”

6. Select “Set Date.”

7. Enter date in mm/dd/yyyy format and press the green “Enter” key.

8. Select “Set Time.”

9. Enter time in hh:mm format and press the green “Enter” key.

10. Press the green “Enter” key again.

11. Press the red “Cancel” key to return to the idle screen.

After your device is configured, set it up in Artisan. Click here to skip to those instructions.

Using an IP Address

Depending on your circumstances, you might need to use the device’s IP address instead of the Terminal Serial Number. Use the IP address as a last resort. You must reserve the IP address if you do this.

The following pictures are taken from a Lane 3000 device.

1. Press “F” on the homescreen.

2. Enter “Admin Mode.”

3. Type in the password 123456A. Depending on your device, you might need to press the number “2” on the keypad to cycle through to capital “A.

4. Scroll to the “Control Panel.”

5. Select “Terminal Settings.”

6. Select “Communication Means.”

7. Select “Ethernet.”

8. The device’s IP, DNS, MAC address, and other information are located here. Input the IP address into the “Terminal Serial Number” field in Artisan.

Artisan Instructions

Scroll down to “Business and Financial Settings” and click on “Payment Processing Settings.”

In the “Payment Processing Profile” section, click the dropdown and select “Edit.”

Click “Add” and call this profile “DC Direct.” Press “OK.”

From the “Select the Payment Processing Profile” and “View/Edit Settings” dropdowns, select the DC Direct profile you just made.

Select “DC Direct” from the “Payment Processing Method” drop-down.

Enter your “Merchant ID or Host Capture ID.” This is on your VAR sheet given to you by the sales team.

Leave the “Terminal ID” field blank.

The “Terminal Serial #” is on your product box. A good way to identify the number is to match it up with the IPSN number. The IPSN number is a little more than half of the Serial Number.

So, in this example, our Terminal Serial Number is 212676923011087734632002.

The IPSN number is inputted into the online portal. In this example, it is 3011087734632002.

Leave the “Processing Timeout” anywhere between 40 to 99 seconds. This is how long the PIN pad will display for the customer before timing out.

Leave “Processing Company” and “Commercial Card Data” as they are.

If the client accepts debit cards, EBT, or gift cards, set those dropdowns to “Yes.”

Hit “Test” once finished.

Press “Save.”
