Type in “Settings” in your Windows search bar and click on the search result.
Click on “Update and Security.”
Click on “Check for updates.”
Click on “Download and install.”
The update will begin installing. Let it download.
You’ll need to restart the computer in order for the update to take effect. Make sure you save anything you’re working on and close out of all open windows or programs. Click on “Restart now.”
Once you’ve restarted your computer, open “Settings” again and head back to the “Windows and Security” section. Click on “Advanced options.”
Toggle the “receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows” switch to “On.”
Go back to the “Windows Update” screen and click on “View optional updates.”
Click on the “Driver updates” dropdown.
Click on the available driver’s box, then click on “Download and install.“
Now, you’re done checking for Windows updates.
