This indicates the folder has files a mix of files that are accessible offline, locally, or online-only.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/certek.com\/kb4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/sync-icons9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11774\" src=\"https:\/\/certek.com\/kb4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/sync-icons9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"90\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A red circle with an &#8220;X&#8221; indicates that Dropbox encountered an error with your file, so it wasn&#8217;t updated or synced correctly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/certek.com\/kb4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/sync-icons4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11775\" src=\"https:\/\/certek.com\/kb4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/sync-icons4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"90\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A gray circle with a white dash means that your file was not updated or synced to Dropbox, so the file was ignored.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Troubleshooting Solutions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Solution 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Make sure you&#8217;re logged into your Dropbox account. Some files are only accessible if you&#8217;re logged into Dropbox and aren&#8217;t viewing the file as a guest (meaning you&#8217;re signed out of Dropbox).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Wait for the files to sync. Sometimes the Internet connection is poor, and it takes a bit for your files to properly connect to Dropbox.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution 3:\u00a0<\/strong>Exit Dropbox. The program might need to be &#8220;refreshed&#8221; in order for files to sync. Wait a moment and reopen the program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution 4:\u00a0<\/strong>Restart your computer. Open Dropbox.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution 5:\u00a0<\/strong>Your browser or computer antivirus software might try to block Dropbox. Give Dropbox permission in your antivirus program(s) to access your files.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution 6:\u00a0<\/strong>Free up space on your computer. Look for files you no longer need and can remove from your computer.
