Accessing the Report<\/h3>\n
Access this report using two different methods. From the top of the screen, select “Reports<\/strong>,” “Day End &\u00a0 Shift Closing<\/strong>,” and “Standard Tender Detail By Date Range<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n Or, head to the “Main Menu<\/strong>.” Click on “Reports<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n Select “Day-End & Shift Closing<\/strong>.”\u00a0<\/p>\n Click on the “Standard Tender Detail by Date Range<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n Either way, you’ll end up at the following screen.<\/p>\n The date will automatically default to your current date. If you would prefer to see a tender breakdown for one day<\/strong>, please select “(Reprint) Day-End (or Shift) Closing”<\/strong> from the “Day-End & Shift Closing<\/strong>” menu.<\/p>\n Enter a date range. Do this by manually typing in the dates or selecting them from the calendar (accessed from the downward-facing arrows).<\/p>\n Next, choose what payment types you would like to see by clicking on the “Select A Payment Type<\/strong>” dropdown. This will automatically default to “ALL Payment Types<\/strong>,” but you can select a specific type.<\/p>\n Sub-Total by Register<\/strong><\/p>\n Selecting this will show the tenders collected at each specific register (if you have multiple registers).\u00a0<\/p>\n Show Cash Change?<\/strong><\/p>\n If you would like to see the amount given back to the customer, select this option.<\/p>\n If you wish, you can select “Save as Defaults for This Report<\/strong>.” This locks in any changes you made for the next time you open this screen. For example, Artisan will remember if you want “Cash<\/strong>” as your payment type, “Sub-Total by Register<\/strong>” set to “Yes<\/strong>,” and\u00a0“Show Cash Change?<\/strong>” set to “No<\/strong>.”\u00a0The only thing Artisan won’t save is the date range.<\/p>\n The date and time column displays the date and time the transaction occurred.<\/p>\n The “Type<\/strong>” column shows the type of tender used (ex. Visa or cash).<\/p>\n The “Amount<\/strong>” column shows how much the sale came to (ex. $75.00).<\/p>\n If you have the “change<\/strong>” field enabled, you’ll see the amount handed back to the customer.\u00a0<\/p>\n For example, Alice Hamm’s sale came to $17.50. She paid $20 and received $2.50 in change from the cashier.\u00a0<\/p>\n The “Slip #<\/strong>” refers to the number applied to the sale Artisan. For example, Alice’s sale is Slip # 166. If we look at the Sales Activity in her customer record, we’ll see the sales slip number there as well.<\/p>\n The “Customer<\/strong>” column refers to the customer record assigned to the sale (ex. Alice Hamm).<\/p>\n The “Reference #<\/strong>” pertains to credit cards.
