Scan an item by pressing the yellow button on the side of the device. ScannerPal will match the barcode to the Item Record in Artisan and will display the product&#8217;s Item Code, price, description, shelf number, and other details.<\/p>\n<p>4. Count how many you have of this item and update the quantity if necessary by tapping on the &#8220;<strong>Item Count<\/strong>&#8221; field and editing the number. When you&#8217;re finished, press the blue &#8220;<strong>Next<\/strong>&#8221; arrow. ScannerPal will then accept that scan. You may then review your scans in Artisan and process them. Go to the &#8220;<strong>Physical Inventory<\/strong>&#8221; screen (from the &#8220;<strong>Inventory<\/strong>&#8221; menu) and enter &#8220;<strong>Scan Mode.&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>Do this by pressing the &#8220;<strong>Scan Mode<\/strong>&#8221; button and selecting &#8220;<strong>Load Scans from Device<\/strong>.&#8221; Or, you may access the shortcut to this screen by pressing <strong>Ctrl<\/strong> and <strong>F10<\/strong> on your keyboard.<\/p>\n<p>Select a scan job by double-clicking or pressing &#8220;<strong>Enter<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Keep In Mind<\/h3>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\">If you&#8217;re new to using ScannerPal, we recommend scanning a few items as a &#8220;test&#8221; so you can get used to the process. If you do this, we recommend using the following method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Follow steps 1-5 above, except instead of setting your \u201c<strong>Job Type<\/strong>\u201d as \u201c<strong>Physical Inventory<\/strong>,\u201d set it as a\u00a0 \u201c<strong>Sale\/Order<\/strong>.\u201d This way, the test data you\u2019re collecting can easily be cleared from Artisan, simply by voiding the sale in Artisan, instead of having to correct something a little more complicated, like your physical inventory.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>2. Make sure you submit any test jobs before starting your actual scan jobs, especially for your physical inventory.
