There are two ways to mark an item as \u201cBreakage<\/strong>.\u201d You can do so on the Sales Screen or in the item record itself using an item adjustment.<\/p>\n On the Sales Screen<\/strong><\/p>\n On the Sales Screen, input your item and select \u201cBreakage<\/strong>\u201d from the \u201cSales Type<\/strong>\u201d dropdown menu.<\/p>\n Artisan will zero out the price, amount, and totals. It will also change the sales units to \u201c0<\/strong>.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Press \u201cFinalize<\/strong>.\u201d On the Sales Screen, press \u201cSave<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n Within an Item Record<\/strong><\/p>\n Edit the item you want to use as “Breakage<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n On the \u201cQty on Hand<\/strong>\u201d field, enter the new quantity. For example, if you had eight in stock and one broke, enter \u201c7<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n A great way to see any changes to your inventory is by running the \u201cInventory Adjustment Report<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n To get to this report, click on \u201cReports<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cInventory Reports<\/strong>,\u201d and \u201cInventory Adjustment Report<\/strong>\u201d from the dropdown.<\/p>\n Or, from the \u201cMain Menu<\/strong>,\u201d select \u201cReports<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n Choose \u201cInventory Reports.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Click on \u201cInventory Adjustment Report<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n Either way, you\u2019ll end up at the following screen. You may select to include or exclude as many inventory adjustment types as necessary.
