However, not all of them are free. If you want to deeply customize the look of your online store or the shopping cart (check out) experience, BigCommerce or WooCommerce might be the option for you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>BigCommerce<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideal for those who have made a webstore before or want something with more bells and whistles.<\/li>\n<li>Also offers free and paid themes.<\/li>\n<li>More in-depth reports through BigCommerce&#8217;s online portal. Learn about your store&#8217;s performance with customer reports, SEO details, abandon cart reports, and more. Most BigCommerce plans include these reports, while not every Shopify plan includes reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>WooCommerce<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The most advanced website designer on our list. Offers free and paid themes.<\/li>\n<li>WooCommerce works alongside WordPress, so having knowledge of this platform is key. You will need to purchase a domain name and set up your WordPress account before you begin with WooCommerce. Requires advanced knowledge of website maintenance, like installing and updating plugins, and other technical aspects.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Thousands of add-ons and plug-ins are available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>How it Works<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>No matter the option you choose, Artisan uses two key components to set up and communicate with your store: the <strong>Internet Store Tab\u00a0<\/strong>and the\u00a0<strong>Artisan Task Manager.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Expand &#8220;<strong>The Basics<\/strong>&#8221; to learn more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-toggle wp-block-hb-toggle\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__title\"><span>The Basics<\/span><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-hb-toggle__contentwrap\">\u2022 The Internet Store tab is located in the Item or Category record. This is where you specify details for your product or category for the online store, such as the product or category name, description, and other aspects.<br><br>\u2022 The Artisan Task Manager <strong>uploads <\/strong>products and categories and <strong>downloads <\/strong>store orders.<br><br>\u2022 The Artisan Task Manager synchronizes products, categories, and sales on a schedule &#8211; and can do this as frequently as every 15 minutes.&nbsp;<br><br>\u2022 You do not need to enter products or categories onto your webstore, since Artisan will take your inventory and upload them &#8211; no need to enter data twice.&nbsp;<br><br>\u2022 Inventory changes are reflected on your online store, preventing customers from ordering items you don&#8217;t actually have. Out-of-stock items can optionally automatically be removed (out of sight from customers).&nbsp;<br><br>\u2022 Artisan creates customer records for your online shoppers. If there are any matching records, such as first or last name, Artisan will find them and match their purchase history.<br><br>\u2022 Only want to upload some of your online-enabled items? Easily exclude specific categories from the upload. This is great for when you have items that aren&#8217;t quite ready to be revealed on your store, like for an upcoming holiday collection.<br><br>\u2022 You may also reserve an amount that you&nbsp;<em>don&#8217;t&nbsp;<\/em>want included in your Internet Store &#8212; which will be subtracted from the Internet Store&#8217;s quantity on hand.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3>Item Record Internet Store Tab<\/h3>\n<p>Choose which products and categories are included in your webstore.
