Consignment Payout Statements

Contents

Artisan supports consignment payout statements. These are forms you can print from the program that show how much you owe each consignment vendor.

    Accessing Payout Statements

To generate payout statements, head to “Accounting” from the “Main Menu.” Select “Consignment Accounting,” then click on “Print Consignment Payout Statements.” This is also accessible from the “Reports” menu, then “Accounting Reports.”

If you need to print previously posted consignment payout statements, select option 4, “Reprint Consignment Payout Statements.”

This opens the “Consignment Statement Options” screen.

    Payout Statement Fields

Vendors to Include: Determine if you want to include all vendors, a singular vendor, or specific vendors by range (alphabetically) or keyword. If using a keyword, only vendors with the keyword(s) in their vendor record will run payout statements.

Statement Closing Date: The last date of the consignment period.

Statement Level Detail: This determines how sales details appear on the payout statements. “Itemize Sales” will list each individual sale. “Summarize By Item Code” will list the quantity bought for each item. The last option will separate each statement by customer.

List Unsold Items? Selecting “yes” will show any consignment items in your inventory by the vendor(s) that haven’t sold yet.

Skip Vendors with No New Activity? If “yes” is selected, Artisan will skip consignors that haven’t sold items lately.

Print Mailing Labels? If “yes” is selected, Artisan will automatically start printing mailing labels for the consignor(s).

    Payout Statement Examples

This is an example of a consignor payout statement with each individual sale listed. We also opted to show this consignor’s products that are still in-stock and haven’t sold.

Notice how one of the Rainbow Pastel sales’ Amount Due is different than the others. That’s because a customer bought two of this item on one sale. Discounts will obviously change the Amount Due as well, so keep that in mind while reviewing your payout statements.

    Posting Consignment Statements

After your payout statements load, Artisan will ask if you are ready to Close Out (Post) the statements. Select “yes” to post the statements, or “no” if you’re not ready and want to review before posting.
