Merchandise Item Labels

Artisan makes it easy to view, print, and create labels for merchandise.

From the “Main Menu,” click on “Labels” and “Merchandise Item Labels.”

Artisan will display this popup: “To print labels, first select the record(s) you want to print labels for, then press Ctrl-P, then press “Print Labels.” Press “OK” to display your Item Records.

You may want to print labels for all of your items, but you can also narrow down your items by category, code, vendor, and more. Artisan allows you to do this by using the Power Search feature. Please review this article to learn more about this function.

Printing the Labels

Now that we have the list of items we want to print merchandise labels for, it is time to do the actual printing.

1. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P or select the “Print” button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Then, choose what you want to print. If you want to print labels for just one product, select “Print Labels for One Record.” If you want to print labels for all records in your list, select “Print Labels for All Matching Records.”

3. Determine how many copies you want to print for each item. You can choose to print the same amount for each item, ask Artisan to print labels for each record to match their quantity on hand, or enter individual quantities for each record.

Select which Label Form you want to use and which Print Method you’re using – Thermal Transfer or Direct Thermal.

Press “Start.”

If you chose to enter individual quantities for each record, you’ll see this screen.

Use the keypad (plus or minus) keys to change the number of labels to be printed, or use the plus and minus buttons on the screen. Entering a 0 or pressing the star button will exclude the item. When you’re finished, press “OK.”
