This article explains how to install a TSC printer driver. Printer drivers must be installed before using printers with Artisan.
Downloading Driver
Head to TSC’s website, usca.tscprinters.com.
Click on “Support and Downloads.”
Scroll down to “Driver” and find your specific printer model. For this example, we’re using the TSC 247.
If you can’t find your specific model on the list, search for the product.
Click on the product.
Click on “Resources” and “Driver.”
Download the driver that fits your operating system (Windows or Mac.)
Open the file.
Double-click the file.
Accept the license agreement and hit “Next.”
Choose where you want the driver to be downloaded. For easy access, we suggest leaving the file on your desktop for now. Hit “Next.”
Make sure both option boxes are checked. Hit “Finish.”
A pop-up window will ask if you want the program to make changes to your computer. Press “Yes.”
On the Driver Wizard, select “Install printer drivers,” and press “Next.”
Make sure your printer is connected to the computer via a computer port (if it isn’t, you’ll see the “Please connect your printer…” message as shown in the example.
Once your printer is connected, select the connection type from the “How is this printer going to be attached?” list.
Select “Next.”
Select your printer model from the list. Select “Next.”
Leave all options set to default and click “Next.”
Leave the printer name as-is or input a new name. Select “Next.“
Click “Finish.”
