Gift cards can only be used once in Artisan. If there is a remaining balance on the card (meaning the card was not used in its entirety), you can either issue a store credit or use a completely new gift card with that balance. To see a list of these gift cards that have not been used entirely, simply run the “Gift Cards Outstanding” report.
Accessing the Report
To access this report, head to “Reports,” “Accounting Reports,” and “Gift Cards Outstanding.”
Or, from the “Main Menu,” select “Reports.”
Click on “Accounting Reports.“
Select “Gift Cards Outstanding.”
Either way, it will open the report.
Report Example
In this example, we can see that we have one outstanding gift card.
We can see the gift card number, issue date (the date the gift card was purchased), issue amount, who bought the card, the slip number attached to the sale, if it expires, and who it is issued to. If the card was redeemed partially, that date would appear under “Redeemed Date.” In this example, the customer has yet to use this gift card.
