Refund Store Credit to Credit Card

When a customer returns merchandise, you can give them cash back, refund it to their credit card, or issue a Store Credit. Sometimes, after you’ve issued a store credit, you later decide to refund the amount directly. This article describes how to convert a store credit into a refund.

1. Select customer in a new sale.
2. Highlight the credit and press Pay.
3. Type in a description line like “Refund Store Credit”.
4. Finalize (F10), then Save.
5. When prompted for the refund payment type, select Manual CC (or other appropriate payment type).
